Mcdonalds Flood

With this piece our intention was to show a different model of productivity that is not human. McDonalds and their strategies that many other corporations have emulated prioritize a sense of efficiency and control that only serves to fuel a consumerism doomed to consume itself. In contrast, beavers use their own cutting-edge strategies and technology, and work industriously to benefit the environment and the species around them, despite many attempts to exterminate them. To them, structures like a McDonald’s restaurant are not symbols of inevitable destruction, but can instead serve as scaffolding for a better future, with wetlands and clean water. Instead of senseless squandering of resources for the sake of a twisted idea of productivity, beavers serve as an example of perseverance for the right causes that we have more than enough reasons to emulate instead. They are role models for us to see the potential for growth in anything, and to be brave enough to work towards achieving that reality.
